Private Residence

Mill Valley, CA | 2015

Integrating the landscape of a sloping flag lot into the adjacent ecologies of Mill Valley and the Marin Headlands, the garden for the home of a young family also required fencing, play areas, and a kitchen garden. Phase One design features include safety and deer fencing that unfolds organically from the facade of the home, wrapping the site; and a meadow mix based on the sloping foothill meadows of nearby open spaces, with achillea, salvia mellifera, salvia apiana, and muhlenbergia rigens dotted with more common garden plants like lavander.
